Same impressions. 79% more downloads.

Monefy's Taiwan listing reached the same number of people before and after, but converted 79% more of them. The cleanest proof that localization is a conversion lever, replicated across three markets in one shipment.

01The Challenge

Monefy had 25M+ downloads worldwide, but its listing spoke English (or machine-grade translations) in markets where users search and read in their own language. The suspicion: the app wasn't failing to be seen in these markets, it was failing to convert the people who saw it. Nobody could prove it, because conventional ASO reporting can't separate reach from persuasion.

02The Solution

  1. Fload's agents rebuilt six full listings in one day. Native title, subtitle and keyword set for Taiwan (Traditional Chinese), Denmark, Japan, Sweden, Finland and Australia, written from local search behavior, not translation.

  2. Every market became a measured experiment. 30 days after against 30 days before, with the verdict read net of market drift: the movement of the app's untouched storefronts (+23% in the window) subtracted, so only the change's own effect counts.

  3. Wins and non-wins both reported. Three markets cleared the drift bar; three were ruled flat and said so. No cherry-picking: the method is the product.

03The Results

MarketImpressionsPage viewsOrganic downloadsConversion
🇹🇼 Taiwan−2% (flat)+38%+79% (+56 pts vs drift)43.1% → 55.6%
🇩🇰 Denmark+4%+18%+37% (+14 pts vs drift)47.4% → 55.2%
🇯🇵 Japan+28%+36%+36% (+13 pts vs drift)held ~60%
Sweden, Finland, AustraliaRuled within market drift: reported flat, claimed as nothing
  • Taiwan is the airtight read: reach didn't move (−2% impressions), so every extra download came from the same audience converting better. The listing did the work, and the numbers can't be explained any other way.
“Flat impressions and +79% downloads is the result you almost never get to see isolated this cleanly. The localization did exactly one thing, and the data shows exactly that thing.”

04Conclusion

Localization isn't a translation chore. It's a conversion lever, and now a measured, repeatable one: ship native listings, read each market against its own control, keep what clears the drift bar. Monefy's three wins came from one day of agent work; the three flats cost nothing and taught the model. The same play has now replicated across three different apps in Fload's portfolio.
