Attribution without an app update

Can't ship an app update yet? Fload can still read install attribution from tools you already use. Two paths need no new code from you.

RevenueCat's Apple Ads attribution

RevenueCat can collect Apple's AdServices token itself and swap it with Apple. If it already does that for your app, Fload reads the result through your RevenueCat connection: revenue by Apple Ads campaign, ad group and keyword.

Check whether it's on

It's on when both are true:

  1. Your app calls RevenueCat's AdServices collection after Purchases.configure:
swift
Purchases.shared.attribution.enableAdServicesAttributionTokenCollection()

The same call exists in RevenueCat's Flutter, React Native and Cordova SDKs. If your app doesn't make it yet, adding it is an app update, so you may as well add Fload's SDK in the same release. See Install attribution.

  1. The Apple Search Ads integration in RevenueCat is turned on for your app.

How it compares to Fload's SDK

RevenueCat's attributionFload's SDK
Apple Ads keyword revenueYesYes
Users who never payNot seenCounted, so you see installs per keyword too
Android Play referrerNoYes
Needs an app updateOnly if it's not on yetYes

You can use both. Fload shows them side by side, so each checks the other.

An attribution tool you already have

If you use AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch or Singular, connect it. Fload reads installs, spend and revenue per campaign, and per keyword where the tool reports it. Nothing changes in your app.

These tools use their own attribution methods. Their numbers can differ from Apple's own record, which Fload's SDK reads.
